Teacher training “Tools and Methods for Monitoring and Feedback in Preschool Education”
The international training event “Feedback in Preschool Education,” held on 28–29 November 2025, was organized under the Erasmus+ Key Action 2 project “Smart Tracking for Child Development.” Hosted at CEIP Félix Cuadrado Lomas in Cistérniga, the event brought together educators for two inspiring days of collaboration, innovation, and professional exchange. Participants explored EU best practices in preschool assessment, discovered digital feedback tools, and examined emotional study instruments designed to support young learners. Survey results on child development monitoring across partner countries sparked meaningful discussion and reflection. Interactive workshops on designing child-friendly feedback questions encouraged hands-on learning and practical application. The program also included cultural activities in Valladolid, strengthening partnerships in an engaging and vibrant setting. The training concluded with certificates, celebration, and a renewed shared commitment to enhancing feedback practices in early childhood education across Europe.
Learning, Sharing and Enjoying Helsinki: A Successful Smart Tracking Meeting
The Smart Tracking for Child Development project partners came together in Helsinki on 31 July–1 August 2026 for two inspiring and productive days of learning, sharing and exploring the new Smart Tracking web platform. Participants had the opportunity to discover the platform hands-on, from creating classes and managing profiles to building question sets, collecting responses and creating feedback activities. We also explored reports, AI-generated analyses and recommendations, as well as the Marketplace and its publishing and evaluation features. The practical workshops and lively discussions helped everyone gain confidence in using the new tools and brought many ideas for supporting children’s learning and development.
Of course, the meeting was not all about work! After the training, we enjoyed a boat trip through the beautiful Helsinki archipelago, taking in the scenery and relaxing together. We also shared a lovely dinner, filled with good food, laughter and friendly conversations. These social activities added a special touch to the meeting and strengthened the team spirit among the partners. With new knowledge, fresh ideas and great memories of Helsinki, we left the meeting feeling motivated and ready for the next steps of the Smart Tracking project!
